The benefits forums can have for the area are many and varied. It gives people a chance to bring forth the issues that they would like to have addressed.
Keeps the public informed about the activities of the Association as well as informing those from the area who live away.
It will enlighten and benefit each one who is willing to have interest enough to take part and get involved , either as a bystander or direct participant. Opportunities are out there and one has to pursue those opportunities especially when times are progressing. The more often those community efforts are put forth , the faster we can keep up and to know where we stand. Follow up is essential because as of yet we are only scratching the surface.
Provide public awareness of current projects undertaken locally.

To let the community know what is going on in the area.
They give people a good insight into what is happening in their communities. In knowing , it may make it easier for the people to have some input into keeping their community a better place which to live.
Such forums will certainly inform the public.
It will inform the people more , I personally was impressed to find out about all the wonderful things that are going on in our area.
These forums are a great opportunity for people in the communities to find out about what's happening on their own doorstep.
Lets people know what's happening in the area.
Share information and bring people together.
New ideas for more employment in our communities.
Yadda Yadda
They are very informative to the people of the community in letting them know all the Area Development Assoc. is doing for them.
Shows positive happenings in the area which gives encouragement to others who may want to give a business idea a try. It was also realistic showing that things are not always rosey but hopefully that perseverance will pay off in the long run.
5. If forums were held in the future , what issues would you like to see addressed ?
Any youth initiatives and ways to encourage it. Fishing industry in the area past and present. Farming industry in the area past and present. Retailing industry (history ). Credit Union formation. Tourism industry besides Cormack Trail. Music or cultural history of the area ( who did what?).
I missed the last forum on breast cancer and prostate cancer and hope there will be another in the near future.
Tourism / culture
Our logging , fishing , agricultural work , if there is any of this left for our future. The logging and fishing doesn't look too prosperous.
Private business. Education and training.
Employment in the area. Youth and future for education in our school and on WEB sites. Tourism.
Activities for the youth very much needed ( a building for their own interests ) Have the nurse or someone in that area to talk on menopause with the women (men too) they should know about it.
Social activities for youth and adults such as bowling alley , a rink or curling , golf , etc.
Job creation
Follow up and new adventures.
I would like to see environmental and pollution issues addressed. Also the enhancement of the habitat for our waterfowl and its nesting grounds. Studies should be made to find out really what rare species in the forms of birds are with us. There are species near extinction which have been known to nest in this area such as the piping plover , the perrigan and grey falcon and the murmering dove. A lot of the above mentioned species of birds that are nesting here not to mention the American Bauld Eagle , should have field studies done on them to predict the extent of their habitat and how it can be integrated in to a full scale ecowatch , which could also generate tourist dollars for the future if it is monitored carefully. This could be good for the area as well in regards to the WWW.
Little more on tourism ie. Cormack Trail. Other developments in the area ie. Small business.
There are many issues I would like to have addressed , namely and number one being health care in the area , that I feel is desperately in need of attention.
