Note: January 25, 2009 - Newspaper-in-a-Box is a patented process for producing a newsletter in a tabloid newspaper format. In 2007 Ryakuga exported the process to desktop publishing software for the Sharing Our Future group in Burnt Islands, NL.

The project is a participatory community media event based on Ryakuga Communications' Newspaper-in-a-Box - a process which originated in Newfoundland. Newspaper-in-a-Box kits have been used to produce dozens of newsletters in five different countries.
